my friend went to the doctor and discovered she had bursitius by her hips. she needs to get two shots to take care of the bursitius. her main concern is how long it will keep her off dancing so her body can recover. if anybody ever had this by ther hips and can tell me how long it took them to recover it would be greatly appreciated!! dancing is her life and this is causing a set back. i would guess just a week off should be fine cause nothing is dislocated. the swelling just needs to go down. if anyone has any advice or information that would be great because she is really worried about taking time off from dance

I have a friend who broke her leg and didn't give up dancing.

She went to lessons and worked on her arms etc. which shouldn't require hip movement.

She could focus on theory and music and that sort of stuff while she works her way back :~}
