Finding a partner-Kentucky

I live in Kentucky and have been trying to find a male partner to practice with and eventually compete with. It is really hard to find one! Right now I am dancing with my instructor but struggling to find someone. Any tips?

Here are the USA Dance chapters in Kentucky (USA Dance chapters in Kentucky):

2056 CumberlandValleyKY serves the area of Corbin, Williamsburg & Somerset

2028 Bluegrass KY serves the area of Lexington

2021 Gr. Louisville KY

2085 Maysville KY

Attending some of the events - parties and classes - hosted or listed by these chapters can expose you to possible partnerships.

You can try some of the partner-search websites but I've never had much success with those. Other posters may have done better.

Good luck. Please keep us updated.

I am in Louisville. I do attend some of the functions especially the monthly Louisville Ballroom Club dances but haven't had any luck yet. Thank you so much!
Lousiville? No kidding.

If we both still have jobs then, my partner and I are planning to drive up to the Derby City competition in August.

In Paducah, we have one such fellow who's unpartnered, tall, dark, scorchingly handsome, and has been dancing since May. One small collegiate under his belt where he finaled in Cha-Cha and Waltz, he's in his early thirties. Want me to nudge him this way? Who am I kidding- I just want to get close enough to sniff his cologne again...

*sigh* My pervseveranceis dauntless sometimes...

Well maybe I'll see you at the comp in August. :) As for the handsome unpartnered man.... Why doesn't he have a partner? He sounds like a possibility! haha

We're just going to go watch in Aug, maybe, but he'll likely be in tow- we've adopted him to our Cullen Clan of Dancepires.

He's currently working in groups and private lessons with myself and another lady, but her husband is kind of a... dontsayjealousredneckbenicebenicepleeeasebenice... typical nondanceguy *ahem*, and gets jealous of her having way more fun with all of us than him. I keep telling her I'd help her hide the body...

Sorry to hear about your common predicament! Keep dancing, though! Hang in there!
