"Dancing with the Stars" is looking for World Class Pro Dancers to take part in the show.

An application form will automatically be sent to you.

If invited to audition, applicants must be available to travel to Los Angeles for an on camera interview January 14th and 15th, 2009 at their own expense. Travel costs will not be reimbursed.

I assume that this post is a joke.

Given this program's commercial success, I seriously doubt that the producers need to search for eligible professionals.

Sort of funny, though, in a "Let's see how stupid these folks are" kind of way.

It's not a joke. We are pursuing the avenues we normally do but given how highly competitive the dancesport world is, we want to be sure we are not missing out on dancers in or out of the US that might be interested in appearing as a professional or showcased on a results show.

We encourage all World Class professionals to email the address provided complete the application form and send the materials requested at their earliest convenience.

i'm afraid, not everyone is eager to be on that show. i'm not interested...it's not possible to seriously dance and perform there, too much hassle for not much money...
