i can never get my hair to be so slick and shiny for comps. a good example of how i'd like it to be would be like Maria Manusova's? does anyone know how to get it like that haha?

Well there is obviously always gel and hairspray. I suggest getting your hair into a bun using a hair net. While you are doing this, comb your hair back, and slicking it with gel at the same time. Or you can hairspray it into position. That is the best I can think of. :)
