Being a seasoned instructor and dancer I am currently having a debate on Lindy I want your opinion on..

I learned Savoy Lindy years ago from a great instructor in Houston Texas, Judy Archer.. and in traditional savoy style one the 1/2 ladies basically had their choice, Rock.. swivel.. footwork.. whatever.. but no where in there could i see the ladies coming forward on the 1/2. How is this possible The guys are not leading them to come forward. Now I have never taken classes in Hollywood Style.. or any other minor offshoots.. yes another instructor I know is teaching women to walk forward on 1/2 . I believe this to be wrong as the men are not leading the women forward. This is lindy not west coast swing..
