Question for those with Tails!

Hi all,
I need some advice/help! When you look at a vesette there are two "button holes" on either side - for the tailcoat to hook into. Where can you find the buttons for the vesette? I have looked all over the place but no such luck! Will I just have to make my own?
Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated!

tails. On a normal set of tails there is a button hole on the pants which the buttons on the upper garment button onto. This keeps the tails from opening out when dancing. The button should be on a longish thread. Is that what you are looking at. Good Luck

Thanks Polished!
My only trouble is that I bought a new pair of pants from DSI and it doesn't have any buttons (front or under the pants) so I thought that the coat would button to the vesette.

Tails. Its such a long time ago I believe I had to have the button holes made into the pants when I bought a new pair of trousers to match the rest of the costume. If you are intersted I did away with the detached winged collar and found some shirts winged with the collar attached. It did away with struggling with that back collar stud. Which is a great help if you have to change from Ballroom to Latin in a hurry. I picked the shirts up from a Formal Hire place..Good Luck.

I think tails are on the way out. The last time i saw a demonstration given by a top Professional wearing tails was in 1998.What could possibly look better than William Pino and the garment he wears

I dunno. When I think of Ballroom Dancing (in capital letters, too, Lol), I will always envision the standard tailsuit.

DivaGinger. One advantage that tails have is they can hide a big bottom.

It's a shame that some ladies don't wear them, then, isn't it?!

Me too, I never met a man who did not look GOOD in a tux with tails.

The taller the man, the better they look in tails.

........I think I have been watching too many old movies lately......

Tails set up a good image and with that stiff collar, its hard to slouch. My vote is that all smooth should be done in tails.
