Dancing; The Social Aspect

Over on another dance message board that I use there is a section on single people and dancing and thought I'd share my post there over here:

I am single, but I'm not into dancing for the purpose of meeting a prospective mate though the potential is definitely there.

I think the social setting of Ballroom dancing is unique in that it is equally fair to those who are shy as it is to the more outgoing and it does not favor the more physically attractive over those who are less do. You sell yourself by how well you dance or by your willingness to learn. At least this has been my impression in all the time I've been dancing.
