Dance Question

My instructor is doing some workshops coming up in a few weeks and she's away so I thought I'd ask for advice here. The 2 workshops I'm think of taking are Beginner/Intermediate International Tango and Beginner/Intermediate Quick Step. My only classes were in Waltz, Fox Trot, and Swing but have learned some Cha Cha and a couple of Tango steps at practice parties. Are taking these 2 classes too ambitious for a beginner like me?

If you are comfortable dancing with others in the waltz and foxtrot and these classes include "beginner" in their billing it would seem you might be justified in taking them, but since you seem to imply that you already know the instructor why don't you ask them when they return?

Thanks for your response. She's away until 2 days before payment is due.
