Hi to All,
Viewing a DVD by Donnie Burns MBE, I noticed he had the man closing the LF to the RF on step 6, of the Sixteen, instead of stepping back and then closing the RF to LF, turning a 1/4 to right. I've never seen a foot close on step 6 before.

Hi lluv2dance,

As a teacher myself I have never seen this. I always teach it as:

1) Man appel right
2) Side left
3) Fwd right
4) Side left
5) Back right
6) Back left
7) Close
8-16) Surplace and close

Never seen a close on beat 6. Hope this helps as I'm sure you are doing it right anyway!

Laird charts Man LF back, partner OS on 6, RF closed to LF on 7, just as you describe.

lluv2Dance. Does Donnie Burns actually do the whole sixteen. or does he do eight and is then with feet together is ready for the Seperation or whatever. Remember he is not taking a medal or a teaching examination.
