Getting shoe polish off satin shoes?

Does anyone have any recommendations about how to get shoe polish residue off of satin shoes? I recently got lovely new satin standard/smooth shoes and they're quickly becoming covered in black marks from when my feet hit my partner's. I know that wear and scuffs are a part of dance, but it'd be nice to keep them pretty for as long as possible. The problem seems to be some sort of shoe polish residue left on his shoes that then rubs off on mine. Ideas? Insights?

No one has picked this up, however :-

Consult a good dry cleaners.
Get your partner to use a neutral polish.
Dye them a darker colour (esp. if cleaning fails).
Get your partner to buy you a new pair!
Tell him to stop playing footsie with you!

I have not tried any of the above, but good luck with your dancing.
