Jonathon.. am curious to know why the time of posting ( date ) often reflects the previous day.. my post on the 9th shows the 8th ?

I'll bet it has to do with your location. 1 AM in England is 8 PM the previous day where I am located.

Note: That could be off by one hour.

Second note: It is off by one hour. 1 AM in London is 7 PM the previous day in Alabama. (8 PM in New York City)

Theres only 5hrs difference in EST and 8 in West coast... central time varies.. some none.. others 6 and 7.

And then there is daylight savings time that messes things up. The easy way is to look here:

I think wherever the post originated is the initial timezone used.

Terence.I posted at 8.04 am on 2nd July
It registers as 3.04 am on 1st July.
This is no surprise considering we are thousands of miles away.This one is being sent at 8.23am July 2nd
