I use to dance a little back in highschool but never got too serious about it. The other day my dancing came up in a conversation and I remembered how much fun it was to go to amatuer competitons. I looked online and found a competition to enter so now I need to brush up on my skills and find a partner who is willing to compete with me. The competition is every month so I'm not in a huge rush but the sooner I get back on track the better . Any advice on how to brush up on my dancing a little faster would be greatly appreciated.

Practice as much as you can and take lessons.

If competition is your goal, then find an independent studio that coaches competitive couples. Find a partner and take private lessons. There are no short cuts in dance. Lessons and practice are the only ways to succeed.
