Your Funniest/Most Bizarre Dance Experience?

This one is pretty funny . At a swing dance one Christmas season, I danced with a woman who was just a fabulous EC swing dancer and a very sweet person to boot. Only thing was, she had these battery operated Christmas lights in her hair. Every time she would spin or twirl, I had to snap my head back to avoid getting smacked by these lights in her ponytail. I still laugh about it to this day!

What odd things have y'all had happen on the dance floor

OK, so this isn't dance related, but when I was in high school I took karate classes, and one day while these two guys sparing one of them snagged the other guys pants with his toe and ripped the pants almost completely off.

Perhaps the funniest part was watching the normally very serious instructor try not to laugh. Even the half-naked guy thought it was funny!

A few years ago I was at a Salsa class at Halloween time when one of the instructors was dressed and made up as a christmas tree and she had green all over her which kept getting on our hands and clothes. She was apologetic, but we just chuckled about it.

One evening I was dancing hustle. I was wearing a Capezio body suit and wrap-around skirt. As we were dancing, my skirt ties loosened. Needless to say, the skirt fell off. Unfortunate for my partner, he didn't think it was as funny as I did (I thought it was hilarious). However, after he saw me laughing so hard, he did smile a little.

That happened at a dance when I was first starting out; we were all doing a Virginia Real when one of the instructors lost her skirt in that same fashion. She shreiked and turned very red and then laughed.

I have seen some shorter men dance cleanly out of tough corners by going UNDER the elbows of taller couples. Mind you they didn't duck! They just monitored the available headroom

One other...I saw a lady instructor once who had a gorgeous but rather skimpy dress and rather a lot of silicone on her chest...she began her Americn smooth just fine but soon quit reaching for her skirt and just kept reaching for other more important things! She ended up dancing the entire round with her elbows down. Kudos to her though and her partner, they never stopped and they laughed through it all and danced marvelously in the next round (new dress of course!)

Once I was dancing samba with a friend of mine and the heel of my latin shoe caught the loop of his shoe and not only did i untie his shoe, i somehow managed to tie our two shoes together and i almost brought us both to the floor! We had to hobble off to the sidelines and disentangle ourselves, laughing all the while! Also, I have poked a few leaders in the eye (so embarassing!!)...
