Wedding First Dance Suggestion:Jazz Song ?!?!

Hello,

We'll be having a Jazz band playing standard at our wedding. I was curious if you could suggest a good first dance song that the jazz band will likely be able to play.

We plan to take ballroom dancing lessons and depending on what the song we pick, we need to decide if we want to focus on Waltz, Fox Trout, etc..... please advice.
Thanks you

Hello,
I choreographed a first dance to a Kenny G song a few years ago, that was kind of jazzy. When couples come to me to learn to dance for their first song, I listen to the song first, find out what kind of dance it is (usually foxtrot), then the size of their floor, and whether or not the bride can raise her arms over her head in her dress, usually the bodice is too fitted, so she can't do underarm turns. So my suggestion is to first choose a song, then bring it to an instructor and see what she/he recommends. Best of luck, and remember, the important part of the day will be over before you hit the dance floor
