Oh wow, I haven't heard the term "IBO" in a long time. I beleive it's an old F.A. (chain school) pattern that you don't see much anymore.
As I remember, any step or variation called "IBO" typically consisted of three steps and a tap. For example, a basic IBO was sort of a grapevine action, (1) LF side in PP, (2) RF fwd & across in PP, (3) LF side, facing partner, (4) tap RF side in CPP, then (5-8) repeat 1-4, this time RLRL starting side in CPP, ending in PP.
The IBO turn is probably a basic 3-step turn followed by a tap. That would make it (1) LF forward in PP, turning to L, (2) RF side, back-to-back position, (3) LF side, facing partner, (4) tap RF to side in CPP, then (5-8) repeat 1-4, this time RLRL starting forward in CPP, turning to R. and ending in PP. Total turn in each direction is about 7/8.
You might find it a bit awkward to use traditional closed hold for these, so I suggest a two-hand hold. This would obviously need to be released during the actual turn.
I hope this is what you were looking for.
