Hi Kelly, I started dancing when I was a freshman in college and knew absolutely nothing about ballroom dance and had no dance background to speak of. I have now been dancing for over 6 years and have competed in the college circuit for the last 3 of those years. I sometimes wish I had started earlier (like your are doing) but I never felt that starting at 18 put me at a disadvantage in any way. I started training to become a teacher at my studio about a month ago and absolutely love it! I'm very excited to be learning how to spread some of what I've learned over the past years around to others.
