Re: Supporting Leg - Hips in ballroom swing dances

Rha. I was always told that there is no stopping in Ballroom Dancing. One moves blends into another. I was asked to show in any technique book the word stop. Step one for the man in a Natural requires a bending of the knee. As my left foot moves under my body there is a further flexing of the knee which will cause an action with the hip. Unless of course i get to this move stop
situation which we see so often. Must not forget on step one for the lady the heel of the supporting foot does not leave the floor untill the right foot is in place. Plenty of time there to create an action.
