Suzann. The trouble can occur because the man might not realise that the spin must be on the spot. You can step in , and you can step out, but the spin its self must be upright, and don't try to move it. At that time you are a spinning top and very vunerable and easy to pull of balance. The same technique applies if it is a Solo Spin after a New York on 4 and 1 in the Cha. If you fall out or lurch you know where the troube is. So I have been told. Speed the spin part up don't try to do an even 4 and 1. Leave a bit of time to use at the end, otherwise you will be chasing the beat. I'm glad I went to a good teacher.
