In Lindy Hop Competitions, "Pro" genually means that you've paid (make a living) consistantly for either teaching or performing your dance for atleast a year and/or you have taken 1st place in atleast 3 amature competitions.

However, it is normally up to whoever is competing, as there's no true regulations on this, but I think it's a good rule of thumb.
