It's not a fix -- the problem with the show is that the audience vote counts for 50%. So, no matter how bad a dancer someone is, their popularity with the audience can be enough to keep them in. Someone on another board worked out that Jerry must have been #1 in the audience vote last week, and that's what kept him in. I'm sorry to see Lisa go and think she should get some kind of "most improved" award.
I hope drew wins the whole thing. However, if Jerry wins the audience vote again next week, then that complicates thing. Say the audience vote goes this way:
Jerry (earns 3 points)
Drew (earns 2 points)
Stacy (earns 1 point)
and the judge's vote goes
Stacy (earns 3 points)
Drew (earns 2 points)
Jerry (earns 1 point)
In that scernario, Jerry and Stacy would be tied for first. Last year, the audience vote broke the tie, so if they do it the same way this year then Jerry will win it all.
However, if the judges' vote goes Drew - Stacy - Jerry, then Drew would have 5 points, Stacy would have 3, and Jerry would have 4. See, it's not the judges' scores that matter, but simply the order that the dancers end up being ranked. Similarly, it's not the nubmer of audience votes that matters, but the order that the audience ends up ranking the dancers.
