I think that the results were tampered with. There is no way that Stacy could have been voted out. She was the best of the contestants by far. Gerry Rice should have been voted out weeks ago. He was just a little bit better than the rapper.Even by the expressions of all the other contestants, should suprise and dissapointment. Never mind the phone in votes. Let the pro judges determine the results. They seem to know who is better. Thank you..

I really don't think the results were tampered with; as others have noted it is as much a popularity contest as anything. Even discounting the audience voting, going into the last night Stacy was down by 4 points in the judges scoring so despite a perfect score she still would have lost to Drew. The overall outcome would have not changed; she would have simply been eliminated later. It's too bad, because the judges really did say that she had the most talent of any. She got screwed on her freestyle, which was weaker than Drew's. Still, she was scored lower because of 'expectations', not because there were specifics to be judged against..

To make it less of a popularity contest, the audience vote should not be FOR a dancer, but AGAINST. Think on that a moment. Right now you can have a Jerry or Master P 'fan club' pack the voting for their favorite, no matter how poor. If the voting were against a star, the block vote gets fractured; there's no way you could expect a fan base to all eliminate the same person, but those who felt that Master P should have gone out in week 2 (as I did) would certainly have voted that way. A decent dancer with no fan base like Giselle Fernandez doesn't get penalized for that; it's more a case of not liking somebody's dancing.

I should note that I thought that Stacy was by far the most elegant and graceful of the dancers; Drew knew how to work a crowd..

I was happy with this outcome, too. To tell you the truth, I would have been happy no matter which one of Stacy or Drew won. Heck, even if Jerry had won I'd have been happy -- simply because it means that enough Jerry Rice fans were actually watching a ballroom dancing show to make a difference! That in itself boggles the mind.

But Drew's dancing was full of heart and energy, and I never got the sense he was coasting by on good looks or reputation. He just went for it. I think he and Lisa deserve some sort of "dance spirit award" for just going for it week in and week out.

Yay for season 2! Looking forward to season 3 (coming this fall, supposedly).

If you live in the LA area you can get your Cheryl fix by going to The Blue Jeans Bar in Santa Monica (1409 Montana Ave.) on Sunday, March 19th, from 5:00-7:00pm. She'll be there signing things, and you can buy "Dance On, Cheryl" and "Drew Crew" T-shirts.

And, if you've missed it, she's got a web site going at www.strictlycheryl.com.
