"I hope it doesn' t happen where you are. But a small competition only last weekend which some friends of mine were competing. It was one of the less important events. The music was cut after 35 seconds. This happened a couple of times. so my friend complained to one of those in charge to be told nothing could be done about it. It wasn't untill somebody a little more important complained that something was done. I dont think these people had even thought that there have been lessons, travell, make up and dress and entry fee, then are not being given their 1.20 minutes of glory. When you look at it like that its a bit ridiculace isn' t it."

Yes, this kind of disrespect for the competitors is really unjustified. I find competition officials who were competitors themselves in recent memory tend to be much more polite and caring.
