Re: connection and hold

Does anybody have any thoughts on this. Lady going backwards. Simular to a Foxtrot except there is no bending of the knee. The legs are very straight and will remain straight for any walk backwards and on arrival. The toe of the rear foot is in contact with the floor as it extends back. The ladies top is closer to the man than the rest of there body. Like most things we have a Social and a Competition Style. The latter would be improper at a night club on a crowded floor. Does anybody else find that close hold difficult. I much prefere a more open hold where I don't feel so restricted.
