I've never tried Paoul but I have a friend who competes and she has replaced all her Supdance with them, both Latin and Standard. They have a wonderfully cushy sole which she says is amazingly comfortable.

The one I've been eye-bonking for a long time is that little pink practice bootie with the perforations and the lower heel (Paoul). Sooo pretteh.

I really want a pair of Dansurf shoes, but am too scared to plonk down forty bucks for the equivalent of a Skecher babydoll flat with a slickerish sole.

You know I really like the Capezio line of shoes as well.

I have tried about 10 different companies and the Capezios are the only ones that fit me well. They fit a narrow foot well and they have a soft bed with a very flexible body...good heel placement and they last well. They are expensive....but I think worth the money.

The other thing is some of them have sparklies and I love sparklies though have to admit that since I've become a serious dancer you can't wear the sparklies and roll your foot correctly...but fun for non-super competitive wear. They appeal to my inner drag queen and I can wear them to more social dances.
