When you do, you start to realize why top competitions end up spending so much of time getting this 'basic stuff' fixed during their lessons with leading experts.
If what an average coach could tell you about these things were all you need to do, then there would be no role for the experts. But what an average coach can tell you about them is far from what is required to do them well. That's a quest that will challenge every dancer eternally, and is why all serious competitors continue to devote so many lesson hours to improving the most "basic" actions.
