Re: What is the Difference in "Rhythm" and "Timing
Posted by Iluv2Dance

Hi to all,
Walter Laird always referred to the rhythm rather than the timing when demonstrating a figure. He hit on a problem when writing the Paso Doble technique because he always said that in this dance there is no rhythm and to treat the character as mainly walking steps.

This is probably why there is no column for rhythm. I can't see the committee allowing him to leave that column out on the Paso.
