belleofyourball. The posting 11 8 09 by anonymous 1. Is very clear. First have you been to the IDSF site and seen what will be done to anybdy who takes part in any way in an event not ratified by they the IDSF this includes judges competitors or even the person who sweeps the floor. All face a ban without any further notification from all IDSF competitions.. The WDC are their sworn enemies. The WDC are the Professional controling body in which all the top Professionals are members. So the IDSF formed a Professional group called the IPDSC ( more about that later ). So the WDC formed an Amatuer Section. If you look at the IDSF site you will see the comp at DisneyLand in Paris next month is on the banned list.. It is rumoured that they have their eyes on Blackpool also the UK Titles The last time I looked the Dutch known as Assen is still not ratified. These competitions are completely Open. Anybody can enter. They dont care if you are IDSF or IDSF joined at the hip, they are completly open as they should be.
To get back to the soon to be disolved IPDSC. First the President Peter Maxwell resigned. Then the IPDSC was encouraging its members to take part in a unratified event in Greece, or was it Turkey. Then the IPDSC, it is to be disolved June next year and a new one formed. Something odd about that!!!. Which is why we get statements like. Are the US to be run by their Amateur Association ". Your Amateur Association are part and parcel of the IDSF. The person who wtote that was only concerned with his country. It will apply all over.
Heres the rub. You may be in a comp next week in your state. It is not ratified neither is it banned. The IDSF are only concerned with the big ones as well as only the top dancers. They couldn't care less if you took part in the Dutch. But if you are a ranked person look out, your gone. Whats it all about. Money Money Money. and of course power.
If any of this is not correct. Please point it out. And Terence. Have you a statue of the Three Wise Monkeys. See No Evil. Speak No Evil. Hear No Evil.
That is why we are in this dilemma today.
One more thing to try to prove a point.Governments do not own money. It belongs to you. You appoint them to look after it. Dance Societies do not own dancing. They are appointed by you to administer it. If they dont do a good job then get rid of them..
