I should clarify that what I said about the joined hands applies specifically in the context of the Eggleton hold, with parallel thumbs. Hold is between the guy's thumb on her index finger, and his ring and/or middle finger finger on the outside of her hand, practically at the wrist. The amount of squeeze that feels necessary/comfortable in that configuration may be different than what is suitable for the crossed thumbs hold.
