I watched this last night. Our teacher was trying to stop this guy from doing these really big steps,He didn't seem to understand. So she marked a starting point and got him to do solo a Revese Weave starting from a promenade position in the Waltz and marked where he finished. I was the marker. She then got along side , not in ballroom stance and made sure he stayed verticle and only thought about sending his spine through. He went right past me with smaller steps. How come. She said everytime he stretches back in particular, and forward, he actually send his weight momentarily in the other direction to which he was going. It was the same for the ladies. The teachers improved their distance with less effort in just a few minutes.It was a technique class, six only in the class.
