Hi! Welcome to the world of ballroom dancing. Find a studio, club, or somewhere where lessons are offered and sign up for some! Don't get frustrated, keep a positive attitude, and remember that all dancers start from the beginning.

To get started - try group lessons in a dance type that interests you. Check out different studios. don't be afraid to walk in the door the first time and ask questions about their program, studio etc.

In the longer run - find a teacher that is professional and that you enjoy working with (may require trying a few). A good, enthusiastic teacher makes all the difference.

not to mentioned the tons of info on-line, make sure you check out more than just a few websites...

hello everyone!
i'm cynthia from the philippines.
i'm a newbie in this site and i love reading through the various messages.
i'm an amateur ballroom dancer.
ballroom dancing in the philippines is very much alive and kicking.
where it used to be the domain of rich old women, it is now a favorite stress buster of young professionals like me.

we have dance instructors here who are paid by the hour. how is in the States?
