Quickstep move NAME? anyone

OK: in the Quickstep I have seen where the couple in closed they open feet to 2nd position then jump inward one foot behind/front of the other then Open to 2nd again? Does this have a name and what is it? Pepperpot type but what? Thanks, Larry

Larry. It could be a Pepperpot followed by a Open Lock and a normal Lock Step. That's described and demonstrated with Geoffrey Hearn and Marcus and Karen from Ballroom and Competition Figures. Good Luck

given the reference to "behind" sounds more like woodpeckers to me ? not sure what the OP means by second position though. thought a pepperpot was a step hop followed by a fwd lock step on QQQQ timing ?

Interested. Some people use the words up behind when discribing a Lock Step.
Step Hop. Theres your Pepperpot. O/P is ouside Partner. Larry can probably work out from that if it is or is not a Peppepot that he sees.

2nd position is feet apart, on the behind or front cross feet are together.

A figure in Quickstep are called Crackjack.
The only description I have found on the internet is on http://members.isp01.net/hfsears/quick.html
