You must have a really old edition, or mean the smaller book that evolved into the ISTD book, rather than Ballroom Dancing.

The step after a lock will be in CBMP (outside partner) ALWAYS - if that's missing it's a typo. If the step beings a turn, it will also have CBM *action*, in addition to (not instead of) being placed in CBMP *position*.
