Re: To all FEMALE dance instructors and students

Actually during the 2 hour discussion about quitting my lesson.... my female dance instructor used the begging technique and then went to the crying technique.

I don't know why we all have to generalize things about women and men... but if my female dance instructor (just because she's a woman) cried due to her PMS cycle.... then I must say... that is some crazy way to earn an Oscar Nomination!

But thank you all for your input. I guess a crush is out of the question. Well, you may never know.

It makes me feel really guilty that she cried... like all of it was my fault. Sometimes I can't bear it and have to find some ways to calm her down or do something to make her happy.

But all in all.. it was the best choice for me.

Actually, a friend of mine at my current studio had his female instructor cry when he indicated he wouldn't renew his contract. We both viewed this as a highly manipulative ploy. Interstingly enough, it was the female instructor who left the studio several months later without even saying goodbye to any of her students.

Don't get suckered in by this show of emotion. It's a trick to get you to spend more money, when you could be happier at another studio!

Very funny supaman. I'm sure she saw me as 'easy' in the beginning but 'jerk' in the end.

You are right hennepin... most men shouldn't get suckered in this show of emotion. It's deadly and dangerous! But I don't mean to make sweeping generalizations about men and women in general ... but basically it's all about the individual. Remmeber that.

and to answer asila's question.. I wasn't actually referring to female dance instructors and male students. It's also male instructors and female students too. I was only trying to stick to the point on my experiences even though I shouldn't be generalizing about it. That was my mistake.

I never gotten into what would happen between the female student and male instructor as though they would pose different problems than the male student and female instructor. I mean... would a male instructor cry in front of everyone with his female student because she was quitting? Can a man cry that hard? I'm sure some can but well... he would definitely look like an idiot. He'll look like an easy-going coward and crying dog so desperate for his female student's attention.

But let's picture the female instructor crying... Everyone is going to start feeling sorry for her... so who's to blame... the male student... duh! Like something he did was totally wrong for him to make her cry. That is what I felt like. I mean whoa.... lady... now look at my forehead... it says, "JERK"... whatever happened to
"GENTLEMEN" or "NICE GUY" who didn't mean to make her cry because he only wanted to quit?
