I thought "take the lead" was quite good, although being a young-ish female a large part of that was due to Banderas' participation.

Strictly Ballroom, I am intensely proud to say, is Australian, and am in total agreement of its amazing story and the talent in it.

Shall We Dance, I have only seen the American version.

As for other dance movies, I enjoyed both "Dirty Dancing" films, but the second particularly, and believe Swayze to be quite talented in the arena, if not attractive. The new film "Step Up" is also to be soon released, and looks to be along the same lines as "Take the lead".

Patrick Swayze is an excellent dancer and his wife is also. His parents had a dance studio and he took lessons from a young age. In his dance movies he helped the others a lot. Also in some of his movies, he had to take his dancing down a few notches to match the role.

All I know is that that Ramos character was about the most obnoxious person I've ever seen on screen. There were a couple of times I wanted Pierre to just reach out and slap the crap out of him and say, "SHADDUP!!" Of course, Pierre was too well-mannered to do something like that.
