I'm using Quicksteps Computer. This is Me. I am only intersted in the Traditional English style of ballroom dancing which is the only style taught here and I can take this with me to Blackpool. Any other way is quite foreign and unaceptable.

When you get to the point of looking at things in greater detail, you will notice substantial differences between the dancing demonstrated here and that of the traditional English coaches. As mentioned in the previous post, look at how much the hips are or aren't turned out in promenade. Also see where the CBM occurs in turns compared to the change in the direction of movement, and if everything turns at once or if body parts turn in sequence.

Yes, it is all internatinoal style ballroom - but the execution shows a lot of difference depending on who you are watching. And what you see here is quite representative of how American couples were dancing about a decade ago.

Me Me.I can see a bit of a situation here. As long as I compete or dance socialy in a style which is acceptable everything is even. But take it to Europe it had better be good. This is in Latin also. I was at a lecture given by Corky years ago. Something he said has always stuck in my mind and that was. In Europe do it this way once you'll get away with it. Do it twice and they will crucify you.
Another problem that is created having different teaching is. A visiting professional from Europe in a studio can hardly say everything you are being taught is wrong. So they skirt around the subject not wanting to be too controversial. Which means the same guy giving a lecture here and there, it will not have the same content. Do you agree with this.
