Hi there scorpion, Id just like to say, no not all studios are like that, the studio where i teach only teaches private lessons, its the only way to progress, experience has taught us that group classes doesnt work, its fun but if youre serious about your dancing, then go to a private class. I am well aware that its more expensive, but rather see it as an investment in your dancing future! I sincerely wish that you do not discontinue your dancing due to an unstructured school, rather find another one or invest in private lessons!

Hello,
This sometimes happens when you are with a group especially when there are new couples joining the class. You may wish to consider private lessons with an instructor who can keep your progress moving forward at a comfortable pace. Dance dvd's are a wonderful tool in keeping up with lessons you have already learned. BDC has an excellent library to choose from as does dancevision.com.
Remember, have fun out there
