Off topic-

How big are the Crystal dance floors? I'm thinking of taking a cruise on the Symphony and noone can tell me much about the dance program.

Are there lessons every day? Beginner only? Or silver level? etc....

If you can, email me at
jerry@blumenthalsoftware.com

TIA
Jerry

Dance Hosts don't get paid.

Depending on the talent agency & cruise line it can be paying $25 US a day to go up to free. The free lines will demand a much hgher level of skill.

You travel as a "supernumerary" meaning you're halfway between being a passenger and an employee.

Depending on length of cruise you can get airfare included in some cases, tipping, drink allowance, excursions, etc.

I've sent about 20 guys on around 80 cruises over the last year or so.

As you point out, social skills are very important. In fact, with some lines it's more important than dance ability.

If you're interested it costs nothing for me to set you up. My e-mail's above.
