Older, this is well said and really adds to the discussion. My husband has a knee issue (replacement in a few years) and your comments echo our instructors'. He had stopped dancing for a while but they're working with him. They've often suggested that with proper foot placement and technique he'll protect the knee. He's finding how true that is.
