"If I turn a 1/4 of a turn on step one,
( not the end of step one ) then step one is actually starting diag to centre against the LOD."

Yes, that's what I said.

'Commence facing DC ALOD'
This is the finishing alignment of the previous figure so there is no need for additional turn on step 1, just the normal 'commence to turn L'.

If you want to think footprint diagrams, just pick up the whole chart and turn it 1/4 left.

Social Dancer.I see. I think I might be a bit old fashioned, but I have never struck a step where I turn on it. ( Is this American Smooth )?, Mine has always been at the end of. I do an Open Telemark starting Diag to wall against the LOD but never Diag to centre against the LOD .
