"Anonymous The table and the lamp, you will find in the Learning section. I just forget if it comes under spinning.
Some of these others will never last the 15 rounds. They'll wear out long before that. Good luck"

And YOU complained about people changing the subject????

"We were given an excersise. Arms up to shoulder height folded across the chest elbows out. Turn your body without turning your hips. That is a twisted spine. Do it again this time the arms and the body all move keeping the arm in one position in relation to the body. That is a spine without a twist. Would anybody like to say which they think is correct."

I would say, do it one more time, but this time rotate the hips WITHOUT (yet) rotating the top. That would be the proper commencement of a reverse CBM action.

As for Luca, he is willing to alter the shape of his body core even more than I believe appropriate. If you see him out of costume, the amount of shaping through the center to accomodate the partner is pretty amazing - too much I think, but it isn't so shocking with a suit to cover it.

Anonymous, If you rotate the hip without the shoulders or your shoulders without the hips, then is your spine twisted. The average competing professional would practise several hours a day possibly seven days a week.
With a twisting spine how long would we last.

"Anonymous. Has it improved your dancing. Best of luck."

Has what improved my dancing?

If the question was the classic english hold - parallel thumbs, to oustide of base of hand, man's hand inside elbow, lady's elbow bet, then the answer is that that, and the intent behind it, has been little short of revolutionary to my dancing.

But I didn't learn it from a message board. I learned it from directly experiencing that hold with world champion dancers in a series of lessons over a number of years. You can feel the dancing in that hold, even before there has been a single centimetre of joint movement.
