What you say is very true and I think the myth about b'roomers is based on observations of social situations.
It just irked me that a blanket statement was made about our small group of Gold & above practisers without basis.
We had a verbal complaint from this guy once before too after we asked for a broom to be left out. He objected to letting us have the broom for some reason saying we might damage the floor. I then pointed out that the church once a month holds a breakfast for 200 street people and for the last month a patch of dried mud (10 sq. ft) had been left unattended in the center of the gym. I also pointed out that if one of us slipped and fell on it there would be other issues.
The custodian left a broom for the next few weeks and the mud cleaned up.
