The Boston Two-Step.
This dance was invented in 1908 by Mr Tom Walton, UK. It is a dance in 6/8 time and has been used as a championship dance for many years in the style of dancing known as: Classical Sequence. Previously this style had the name: Old Time. Basically, it consists of 6 pas de Basques; Walks; 2 pas Glissades (closing to parallel position and not thirds) and ending with 3 bars of Waltz in 6/8 time and a Pas de Valse opening out to commencing position.
