JumpNjive. I was also told at one time to count 12 3&4 3&4 12 But there are four beats in a bar and the music is definitely phrased in eight bars sequences. The above count will make what should be 5&6 3&4. your 1 2 becomes 7 8. So your second link or your Fallaway Rock will be on that 7 8.
If it is not choreographed correctly you will eventually be dancing what should be 12, on every beat on the disc. Even some of the top dancers get criticised by the commentators for dancing out of time with the music in the Jive . Interesting isn't it.
