Achieving "Soft Feet"
Posted by rcsison

I am an intermediate Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dancer. I think I lead fairly well, and know my patterns in Bronze. But I am looking to improve the smoothness of my movement / footwork, and would like tips.

I thought I heard that two things that help you have "soft feet" is forward poise, and also passing your weight cleaning from the supporting foot to the moving foot.

Anyone out there have ideas?

I think that I have a slight hopping-like bounce on my Samba, etc. And I think that softer feet might help that.

Thanks!
