Re: Fall (Lowering)

Very recently I was told by somebody who should know that the Foxtrot is a moving dance. Don't think about rise and fall in this dance. The length of your step on a heel lead will look after the down step, and the correct footwork will look after the rise. Now look at others . Don't we see that forced down up. If we see it enough times we probably think it is correct. Whatever happens don't teach a beginner rise and fall. I think this why people say I just don't get this dance. Any thoughts on this one anybody ?. One more thing when dancing keep you buttocks tensed. Even more so in Latin.
