I wish I had read Jonathon's reply when I first started dancing. In the beginning, I was very self-conscious and awkward. Any mishap I blamed on myself (after all, he was a pro). Furthermore, the rules of the office do not apply in ballroom. Now, I was engaged in an activity that required touching another person. Where do I draw the line? What is "normal" in dance? Having been engaged in this hobby for several years, I cringe when I think about my first experience. I just hope that other women don't fall into the trap of second guessing themselves, or giving these "professionals" too much credit and letting them get away with what would consitiute criminal behavior in any other setting.
