Extending backwards

Familiarity breeds contempt. When we look at a top couple on video do we really see the whole picture. When stepping backwards go to the part where the sole of the shoe joins the upper. If you where wearing Latin Shoes your toe nail will be skimming the floor, ( thats why Latin shoes are out) This might appear to be directed to the lady. The man also must use the same technique. It doesn't stop there. When stepping forward the extreme part of the shoe of the rear foot only should be in contact with the floor at the extent of the stride. A young lady asked me why when going backwards she found it impossible to lower the supporting heel to the floor as the moving foot arrives under the body. She always lowered to early. The reason for this is as above. Her heel was nowhere near high enough off the floor to use up the amount of time she had at her disposal. Anybody who doubts any of this should go to their tapes and look.
