Tangoteen. I don't know if this is the answer to your problem. But in the International Style Rumba. With your moving foot which is behind you. The instep needs to be about as high as is possible as it passes the standing foot. The knee in this case must be bent. It straightens as soon as the ball or better still the inside edge of the toe arrives. It is worth knowing that from the front only one leg can be seen at this time. Both feet back and front should be turned out. Most important, no gap between your thighs.
