We were fortunate enough to have Merko and Alessia demonstrating her just before Xmas. It was also televised on Xmas day. To get to the point, they started their demonstration the Waltz, apart and slowly came together over several bars of music. Even then they had the slightest of touch the left arm was about waist high the right side barely touching. How difficult that must have been to do what they did without a hold. So we tried it . A basic Waltz together no hands. Bit of a mess but not bad for a first go. When you give it some thought we should if we are to dance correctly be able to do our own steps , to stay as a pair we would need to be spot on with our timing CBM, CBMP, alignament and so on. We have all practiced solo, the problem with that is we would on many of our steps be in our parners space, or going right through the lady and the other way around.
