Dave. So much argument over something so simpley explained. A shallow stream with stepping stone a few feet apart. I would start with my feet under my body. One foot very slightly ahead ( it can be seen later why this is so ). We compress our supporting knee, more if we wish to travell a greater distance What is going to be our moving leg is not trapped. Then do we not push off the supporting leg and flight the body to land on our heel then lower then to compress only after we have arrived in that nuetral position with the moving foot very slightly ahead but still under the body.That's the way I used to do it and I never fell in, and didn't need any instuctions either.
